Guy Ritchie was pretty much considered a one trick pony prior to Sherlock Holmes. Prior to Sherlock Holmes, all of Guy Ritchie's movies were about the same "London Gangster Lifestyle" and featured mostly the same actors. While the boxing scene in "Sherlock Holmes" looks an awful lot like Guy Ritchie's boxing scene with Brad Pitt, Sherlock Holmes is different enough from Ritchie's other movies that Ritchie has probably proven that he has "range" as a director. After I ordered Sherlock Holmes, I caught a glimpse of Robert Downey, Jr in a trailer for the movie and I almost canceled the Netflix order of Sherlock Holmes. Even with Robert Downey, Jr., Sherlock Holmes is an entertaining movie for home viewing. From what I hear, Sherlock Holmes did very well in theaters. Just imagine how well the movie could have done with YOUNGER more attractive actors. -------------------- Peter Everhard
