The Big Hit is a perfect movie for Mark Wahlberg.

In "The Big Hit", Wahlberg plays this somewhat dim witted guy who is jacked around by his Black Girlfriend and his White Jewish fiance. There is an elaborate little subplot in the movie that revolves around Wahlberg trying to return an over-due video tape to the Video Rental Store.

The Big Hit is a genuinely likable action-comedy offering the visceral action of director Wong's Crime Story and the hip dopiness of, well, someone who's infatuated with Hong Kong action epics. Wahlberg is Melvin Smiley, a hit man with romantic and financial problems, who decides to take on a freelance assignment and kidnap the daughter (Chow) of a Japanese businessman to cash in on the ransom money.
