I expected there to be some chemistry between James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie in the movie Wanted, but, there is none, zero. In one scene in the movie, there is so much dark eyeliner around Angelina Jolie's eyes, it makes you wonder how dark eyeliner ever got started in the first place. I get that James McAvoy's character is suppose to be a wimpy accountant in THE BEFORE part of the movie, before James joins the fraternity of assassins. However, I think James could have been presented in a much more attractive way in the first part of the movie. As things stand, McAvoy only really looks attractive in the final couple of scenes in the movie. James McAvoy sounds like Shia Labeouf in Wanted. There are points in the movie where McAvoy seems to be intentionally stretching certain words to sound more American, like when he says: "This might be somebody's mooooom". I first saw McAvoy in Children of Dune and I figured that he was English. McAvoy's real "scottish" accent is a bit surprising when you consider how he speaks in movies. McAvoy definitely sounds different in Wanted from the way he spoke in "Children of Dune". Wanted is a 2008 action film which is very loosely based on the comic book miniseries of the same name by Mark Millar. The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov and stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Thomas Kretschmann, Terence Stamp, and Angelina Jolie. The storyline follows Wesley Gibson, a frustrated office worker who discovers that he is the son of a professional assassin and decides to join the entity in which he used to work, a secret guild called The Fraternity. The "chase scene" at the beginning of Wanted with Angelina Jolie and James McAoy and the final "shoot-out scene" with James McAvoy are more than worth the price of the ticket for Wanted. I haven't seen all of James McAvoy's movies but, so far, he looked best in Children of Dune Marc Warren in No Night Is Too Long Marc Warren is in Wanted as "the repair man", he basically beats James McAvoy up asking McAvoy: "Why are you here". Intentional or not, this "Why are You Here" routine reminded me of what the "Instructor" did to Richard Gere's character in the movie An Officer and A Gentleman. Marc Warren played a gay character in the movie No Night Is Too Long. Warren plays a college professor who unfortunately falls in love with Lee Williams's character in the movie. Lee Williams plays a student. Lee Williams is also in a little movie about gay werewolf boys. The movie is sorta kinda like a Lost Boys as werewolves instead of vampires. Williams is openly gay and, I recall seeing a scene of him in a movie with The Black Guy from Jericho as his lover.
