I'm very surprised by the pacing and the tone of the clip from the movie King Cobra at ew.com. The clip shows a scene between Christian Slater's character (Stephen) and Garrett Clayton's character (Brent Corrigan). In the summer of 2004, Brent Corrigan moved in with Bryan Kocis. There is a lot of ground to cover in The Bryan Kocis Murder Saga so, if the movie is a "character study" that spends a lot of time on a rather minor details (like, Brent Corrigan moving in with Bryan Kocis in 2004) then, some things are not likely to be covered by the movie - like, the movie is not likely to cover Harlow Cuadra's trial. I've seen no characters listed for the movie that suggest they are judges or prosecutors at Harlow Cuadra's trial. While The book the production allegedly licensed in all about the prosecutions of Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes, The Rolling Stone article The Death of A Porn King is more a character study of Brent Corrigan and Bryan Kocis. For example, The Rolling Stone article covered Lockhart moving in with Kocis in the summer of 2004. The Rolling Stone article came before any book on Bryan Kocis' murder. "As Cobra's business took off, Kocis lived large. He bought a fleet of sports cars and some lakeside land, using $384,900 in cash. He enjoyed fine food, vacations in exotic locales and casino gambling. According to Lockhart, Kocis also insisted on having sex during their shoots. "Every time we took a break, Bryan would jump on me," Sean says. In 2004 Lockhart spent the summer at Midland Drive, drinking banana-flavored schnapps and having group sex. "Bryan would have boys come out, and we'd have threesomes," Lockhart recalls. "He used me to attract these boys. There was always alcohol in the house. That summer I spent with him, I drank more than I ever have in my life." ... Then one day in August 2004, a woman who lived next door to Kocis approached Lockhart, who was painting Bryan's house. "How old are you?" she spat, denouncing Kocis as a pedophile and threatening to call the police. Afraid he would be arrested, Lockhart packed up his belongings and headed back to the San Diego suburb of Point Loma, where his mother was living with her latest boyfriend in a crummy one-bedroom apartment. Sean moved in with them and graduated from high school, working for $100 a week at a local Sam Goody. With few job prospects, Lockhart needed cash — and he found it the way he always did."
