Cliff Jensen at Bitchless TV in Fleet Week 2 Just noticed that rentboy.com is trademarked. The description only states that the website is for "personal advertising". I can't believe people are complaining about the Feds prosecuting Rentboy.com. The common argument against the Feds' move is why now? No one is arguing that it was legal for Rentboy.com to be operating in New York City, people just yell that since Rentboy.com had been doing its thing for 18+ years, the government must have some hidden anti-gay agenda for pursuing Rentboy.com now. 1. Rentboy.com was stupid to locate it headquarters in and to incorporate in a locality where prostitution is illegal. 2. Rentboy.com was stupid to flaunt what it was doing by it sponsoring best escort awards and escort dance parties. 3. If it is in the pubic interest that there be a place on the internet for escorts to advertise, let some non-profit organization create a free escort listing site. As I understand it, Rentboy.com charged $59.95 and more for escorts to advertise on its site. And, 4. There are other websites doing what Rentboy.com was doing that are not dumb enough to be in forums where prostitution is outlawed. -------------------- Marion Paige
